This hardware store is in the location formery used by Hoppy's convenience store, and owned by the same people that own Sonny's market next door. Great little hardware store with most things you'd need. So convenient to have one in town again and not have to drive 20 minutes to get hardware needed to fix something. Surprisingly they have better hours than thier competition: open until 6pm M-Sa and 10-3 on Su, as of this writing. If you're a local please support them by buying local!

I recently visited New Ipswich Happy Hardware at 800 Turnpike Road, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, the great customer service stood out. The staff greeted me warmly and were genuinely eager to help. What impressed me most was how knowledgeable the team is. I went in looking for some specific plumbing supplies and a few tools for a weekend project, and they not only found exactly what I needed but also gave me practical tips that saved me time and hassle. They really know their stuff and explain things clearly without talking down to you. The store feels welcoming and well-organized, with a nice selection of hardware, paint, tools, and everyday essentials. It’s clear they put thought into making hardware shopping actually enjoyable — the name fits perfectly!  If you’re in the New Ipswich area (or even nearby), do yourself a favor and stop by. Whether it’s a quick run for supplies or advice on a bigger project, this is the kind of local hardware store we all wish we had. Highly recommend! 👍
